This lamb burger recipe offers a great change from the norm and an awesome alternative to the traditional beef burger!

The unique and distinct flavor of lamb goes perfectly in hamburger form! The recipe is super simple and your guests will totally love the delicious feta stuffed lamb burger! Lets get started!
Prep time 5 minutes
Total cook time 8 minutes

  • 1 pound of ground lamb
  • 1 red onion, sliced horizontally
  • 1 tomato, sliced horizontally
  • 1 teaspoon of dill weed
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic salt
  • 3 tablespoons of feta cheese crumbled
  • 1 cup of lettuce
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Hamburger buns (I prefer whole wheat)
  • Tzatziki (cucumber) sauce

  1. Mix ground lamb, dill weed, garlic salt, salt & pepper, and feta cheese in a large bowl by hand. Mix well to ensure seasoning and feta cheese are distributed throughout lamb.
  2. Grab about a handful of lamb mix and roll into a ball using your hands. Flatten ball into burger patty. Do this until all lamb mix is used. Set patties to the side.
  3. Heat olive oil in large skillet. Place patties in skillet and cook 3 to 4 minutes on each side depending on how thick the patties are.
  4. Meanwhile toast buns in oven for a few minutes.
  5. Once buns are removed from oven spread Tzatziki sauce on each half of the bun.
  6. Add lamb burger patty to bun and top with onion, tomato, and lettuce.
  7. Enjoy!
