This recipe is not only quick but easy to follow! The perfect dish for a party or just a small gathering with friends. And trust me your guest will go locos for it! Feel free to use ground turkey or ground beef for this doritos taco salad. Lets get started!
Prep time 5 minutes
Total cook time 15 minute
Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of lean ground turkey or lean ground beef
  • 1 red onion, diced
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 1 package of taco skillet sauce or seasoning
  • 1 cup Mexican shredded cheese
  • 4 Cups shredded lettuce
  • French salad dressing to taste
  • Party Bag sized of Nacho Cheese Doritos
Directions:

  1. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium heat. Add ground turkey and season with salt & pepper to taste. Cook ground turkey until nicely browned, stirring occasionally. About 8 minutes.
  2. Once ground turkey is done, stir in taco skillet sauce. Cook for 1 minute. Remove skillet from heat. If using taco seasoning instead of skillet sauce, follow directions on packet and add water.
  3. In large bowl, crush half of the bag of doritos by hand. Add half of cheese, onion, tomatoes, half of lettuce, and cooked ground turkey. Mix with large spoon.
  4. Add remaining cheese, lettuce, and French salad dressing to taste. I would start with a couple of tablespoons of dressing to taste. Mix well. Add more dressing as necessary, but be sure not to add too much because you don’t want a soggy taco salad.
  5. Top with remaining doritos, crushing by hand. Mix well.
  6. Enjoy!
