Zesty Lemon Pepper Chicken & Chives

This delicious chicken recipe only contains 6 ingredients! It’s super easy to make and the whole family will love it!

No one will be able to resist this juicy zesty chicken. I initially came across this recipe while trying to figure out something that wouldn’t require a lot of effort or ingredients. Lets get started!
Prep time 5 minutes
Total cook time 20 minutes

  • 3 boneless chicken breasts
  • Diced chives (the fresher the better, but dried chives will work too)
  • 6 tablespoons of butter
  • Lemon Pepper Seasoning
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Half Lemon (for fresh lemon juice)

  1. Rinse off chicken breast and pat dry with a paper towel. Set aside.
  2. If using fresh chives, then thinly dice at an angle and set aside once done. If not, skip this step.
  3. Heat skillet on medium heat and add butter.
  4. Once butter melts add salt & pepper, lemon pepper seasoning, and chives to skillet.
  5. Place chicken breasts in skillet. Let cook on side for 5 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, season the up side of the chicken with salt & pepper, lemon pepper, and chives.
  7. Turn chicken over and allow chicken to cook 5 more minutes.
  8. After five minutes, turn to low heat and squeeze lemon juice all over chicken.
  9. Cover chicken and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  10. Add more chives for garnish and enjoy!
Please note, 165 degrees Fahrenheit is the safe internal temperature for chicken. Time to cook may vary depending on how thick the chicken breasts are. If you don’t have a thermometer, please slice into chicken to make sure that it is cooked through before serving.
